Habitat of Humanity of Columbia County's primary
source of funds comes from private and in-kind donations. We would like to
"thank everyone" who has contributed to our annual direct mailing campaign and
who has donated materials.
We are thankful for the continued support of our local church communities and
schools which hold fundraising events for our benefit.
The donation of supplies, goods and services which support the construction
projects and fundraising events are an integral part of our effort to provide
basic housing to individuals who would otherwise live in substandard housing
conditions.
Our non interest bearing loans make homeownership possible. Statistics show that
children of homeowners are 25% more likely to graduate from high school, 116%
more likely to graduate from college, and 59% more likely to own their own home.
This is just a few of the benefits. It is our goal to build more homes on an annual basis and help more families in
need. One of our limiting factors is construction sites or locations to build.
The Mill Street Project was made available to us by the City of Hudson who
donated the property and has made possible the construction location of 4
Habitat homes. If you would like to bring Habitat for Humanity of Columbia
County to your neighborhood, your involvement is needed. Please contact us at
392-9286 for more information on how you can help. Our Board is exploring a number of avenues to raise funds, but private and
in-kind donations continue to be our mainstay. We are so proud of our
communities in Columbia County that has made it possible for us to succeed thus
far.
If you would like to donate today, you can either
send it by mail:
