Columbia County Habitat for Humanity is seeking construction pros to join its building and repair team. Columbia County Habitat is building two new homes in the Village of Philmont and has plans for additional building projects around Columbia County. CCHFH also manages Habitat Helping Hands, an award-winning program for senior, disabled and low-income homeowners in need of critical safety repairs and accessibility upgrades to their homes. Experienced tradespersons and laborers specializing in construction and carpentry are needed to work with our construction managers in building, renovating and upgrading homes.

Available Positions:
Lead Carpenter / Project Foreman
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and procedures
- Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
- Ability to read architectural, engineering, and structural plans and specifications
- Able to lead a crew but also work hands-on, with attention to detail and productivity
- Safety oriented with a knowledge of current safely procedures, and OSHA guidelines
- Willing to become safety-certified by Habitat for Humanity
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience in construction, carpentry and/or home renovation
Carpenter
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; college degree / trade certification preferred
- Must be willing to commute to and from job sites
- Willing to learn and participate as a team member
- Willing to become safety-certified by Habitat for Humanity
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in construction, carpentry and/or home renovation
Construction Laborer
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; college degree / trade certification preferred
- Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Willing to learn and participate as a team member
- Minimum 1 year verifiable experience in construction, carpentry and/or home renovation
